No car for a week...

So since I purchased my car for dirt cheap with only 170,000km, the front end is going to have to be redone so I decided to get my car redone including both rear wheel well rust before the spring rush where all garages are full. After taking my front bumper apart I noticed my whole headlight casing cracked. Thankfully my buddy is selling his Prelude so he said just to seal it then trade him his retrofits... for free!! :):)

The jobs going to be about $1500 including parts and labor. Here's some pics.

Did a little winter meet with some friends. HID and yellow fogs galore.

This is how my bumper was pretty much held up for the winter.

Bumper being pulled off

Going to need to pull the bar.

The crack.

Consider yourself somewhat lucky... I have not been able to drive my car for almost 2 months and probably wont be able to for another month and my bill is more like $4,000! lol

So I feel your pain man, I hope nothing else goes wrong

Ya I was actually considering to sell my Prelude and pick up my friends black Prelude since he's only letting it go for $3000 but his car had 230,000km and I already put so much into my car (compustar pro, double din w/ nav, sub, etc...) so I figured if I could at least grab his headlights then I'd just finish the repair.

Re: No car for a week...

Yeah, I decided I would rather keep mine than sell it because I have put so much money into it and I would have an amazing, basically brand new motor in it! lol

Update:

Rust spots all patched up. Now time to paint quarter panels :)

Re: No car for a week...

DONE! Thank goodness I got my car back. Now for some reason the fog lights don't work... I'll have to figure it out or bring it to the body shop to fix it... not sure what he did.

They matched the paint really well. Anyone in Ottawa needing body work. I'd suggest going to Elie's body shop. I paid $1500 for all this to be done including pulling the front bar. Was cheap in my opinion.
