Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

Whenever you had your car tuned, did you not get dyno-tuned?

And honestly, who cares how much power your making? Take it to the track and find out what times your car will run. THAT will tell you how fast your car is. Not whp numbers.

But I do know that alot of ppl mod just to get hp numbers. So Im gonna take a guess and say you may be at about 190whp. Give or take a few

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

TBCH ull prolly make more hp with ur stock mani vs the s2. The s2 manis are better for boost vs n/a applications. The best mani for all motor is the euro-r. Theres a bunch of threads with dynos to prove it. With wats listed id say u could be sittin easily over too with a good tune. I would look into s300.

I got the manifold for free when i bought my motor so i cant really complain there. Im just using Chrome to tune the ecu for now. Probably gettin Hondata later in the year if not ill have if for next year along with some more parts. All this work im doing is just a start, gotta start some where. Im hoping to have around 230whp. Do you think thats a resonable guess?

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

230whp with those mods is impossible. Especially tuning w/crome. U won't see thos kinds of number w/o headwork. If ur lookin to make that kinda power I would reccomend sellin the s2 mani and gettin a euro r. It flows better.

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

Ive had people tell me from 190whp to 250. Im smart enough to know i wouldnt be at 250 but i thought i would be over 200. This is my first build and first time ill be having my car dyno'd so for me this is all new. thats why i created the post im just curious. What do you think number wise? Ill make sure to post the dyno numbers once it eventually happens

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

If it was completely stock before all this ur def go nna be impressed with it when u get it back. But ya I would bank around 210. That may not seem like a lot but for our cars it impressive considering u start about 165 lol.

I had the headers back exhaust, intake, and the intake manifold already, but it wasnt tuned. All my new stuff is the Type S head, P28 ecu, valves, valve springs and retainers, stage2 cams and cam gears, the the tune. Considering ive been driving a Suzuki XL7 for the last few months just about anything will feel fast to me. Even my girlfriends mazda 6 felt like a race car when i drove it after driving an suv for 4 months lol.

I LOVE my prelude i just cant wait to have it back. Its come a longg way in the past year and a half. Got the car bone stock since then ive put a lot of money into it. I personally believe its way more respectable to build your own car then to buy it already built. BUILT NOT BOUGHT!!

H22a swap, H22a Type s head, Skunk2 stage 2 camshafts, Skunk2 cam gears, Skunk2 valve train, Skunk2 intake manifold, Headers, High-flow cat, Megan Racing Cat-back, Megan racing strut bar, K&N cold air intake, Megan racing lowering springs, XXR 522, Carbon fiber hood and trunk.

I probably forgot a few things but regardless not bad for 19 years old, my first car, and a year and a half time span

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

If your looking for 230whp your definitely gonna have to open that motor up. Type s pistons and headwork. A good header, euro r intake mani(like diamond lude said). With those mods most ppl see around 220-225whp. Why dont you take your car to the track tho? It would be nice to see what kinda numbers it could put down there.

Re: Any idea on hp numbers with my new parts? Stock parts for sale

I'm gonna guess 203

Type s pistons and 440cc injectors and you'll probably have around 215 with a good tune..not sure how well chrome does

Once you get a better header it'll really open it up..

So the parts aren't in yet? If you have the money you should go ahead and do a base run on a dyno so you'll know where it stands now and you'll be able to actually see the gain. Every h22 is different and some seem to read a little higher than others..

Let us know how it goes

yeah man deff bump your compression up, get some head work and the euro-r they a hytech or bisi header and a 3 in header back exaust if you want some real power. you could also increase your displacement if you wanted some more tq

okay so i was doing some research and i was wondering. what do you think will give more power? SKUNK2 stage2 cams or Brian Crower Stage 2 N/A cams. here is the link to both. To be completely honest i dont know which is better by looking at all the numbers so someone help me out.
