repainting

so my lude has a kind of alot of road chips on the hood. i went to honda to get an estimate and my dad got him to lower it to 750 for the whole nose, but moneys tight now and i was wondering if a body shop could match the pearl exactly how it is since its a 3 part process. and if anyone is from jersey and know of a good shop lemme know

Re: repainting

Daaamn, Honda wants to charge $750 just for the hood or the whole front end? Pearl is one of the hardest colors to match, but I've managed to match it up very well a few times. It's not necessarly the body shop that causes the paint not to match, it's the person that actually mixes it up at the paint store. Assuming the body shop doesn't mix their own paint. Just call around and get some quotes from different shops. Honda would've been the last place I'd call if I were paying, but if insurance was paying, they would've been the first place
