Set up your engine on a stand and check the endplay with a dial indicator and also check the run out on the flywheel mounting surface and the nose where the damper mounts. Pull it out and inspect the bearing surfaces for scarring and excessive wear and look closely for cracks and signs of lack of lube. what makes you think your crank may be bad??

Re: symptoms of a bad crank??

most likely your probably seeing your crank pulley wobble, thinking that the actual crank went bad

Re: symptoms of a bad crank??

Crankshafts don't typically "go bad."

Thrust washers may get worn out

Main bearings may wear out

Journal surfaces can wear or be damaged

Or they can just straight up break or bend. Which isn't common.

Anyway, instead of giving you the symptoms of crankshaft failure, why don't you tell us what problems you are experiencing, and we'll direct you to the appropriate part/system/whatever.
