have you done anything coolant related? might need to bleed the system. also, have you adjusted/cleaned your fitv? you can bypass it and loop the line on the tstat.

Re: Whats up with my motor!!!

you might have a air bubble or bubbles in your lines which can cause an erratic idle. thats why i asked. just because its topped off, doesnt mean its fine. what about the fitv?

Re: Whats up with my motor!!!

if you live in an area where it doesnt get super cold, you can just bypass the fitv, its pretty simple to do. also, its pretty easy to clean it out and adjust it if you do need to keep it. there is a write up somewhee on how to do so...ill try to find it for you and post it here.

Re: Whats up with my motor!!!

Explain how bubbles in coolant will cause a idle issue. Im fully aware of how a fitv or fiav works. In fact, I would suspect a bad/stuck fitv would be the problem. Dsms are notorious for the exact idle you are experiencing. Ive rebuilt a bunch of throttle bodys and almost always eliminate the fiav all together. Even if you live where its cold, you can still do it. Just need to keep your foot on the gas till its warmed up. But bubbles? Doubt it.

Re: Whats up with my motor!!!

when air passes through the fitv or iacv it will cause an erratic idle, i dont know where you came up with air not causing an issue when it in a coolant line, but you are wrong. it causes the system to hiccup. no air should be in the coolant, thats why they have a bleeder.

Lol.....no Im not wrong, and as a matter of fact, I rebuild throttle bodies as a side buissness...specifically dsms which use both a fiav and a isc. Once the coolant reaches temp, the valve will not move..even with bubbles.

Re: Whats up with my motor!!!

uh what? you just needed to bleed it, not flush it...

also, how did you flush it? did you loosen the bleeder valve on the tstat? or use the rad drain?

or did you bleed all the fluid from your slave cyl????

Bahaha if your clutch is on the floor you probably did something with your slave cylinder. The coolant has nothing to do with your clutch.

Nicely done

The only way he could have done that, that I can think of, is by bleeding the slave.
