compression in cylinders

i need some help, i did a compression check on my car and got 210,205,215,212. i have an oil burning problem and have some very small metal shavings in my oil, could that be bad rings or could it possibly be something else???

Re: compression in cylinders

Those numbers sound fine so I wouldn't worry about the rings. But metal shavings in the oil is usually caused by spun bearings. Sounds like a rebuild is in store for you.

Its true, your on borrowed time right now. It could last a year, or it could blow up tmw. Just don't be too surprised when it does :-/

Re: compression in cylinders

oh, i make sure that i check my oil almost everyday so i dont blow it up. would your friend might want to buy a body kit for an accord? i have one sittin in my basement from my last car, and could you send me a link for an engine rebuild kit and maybe a link for the crank kit that you were talking about? i appreciate all of your help

the only reason i asked is because its normal to find a very small amount of tiny shavings on a magnetic drain plug.

to the op. if your finding shavings by just rubbing your finger across the dipstick than you have a problem.
