Need opinions about Type S and stock USDM ECU?

Hey everyone! I need to know what i need or should do right about now.. I just got my lude running again. It a 97 base model. I put Type S pistons in so they are 11 to 1 CR or so. I have a ferrea oversize valve train and crower TI retainers. then ur basic bolt ons. I have had the car for 9 years now, go honda.! Any way what should i do if any thing with the ECU or tuning of the car. The car runs, i havent driven it cause it needs brakes and the clutch fluid flushed out. and prob a new clutch. and also i have no drivers license. (another story) Im getting that back very soon and im trying to figure out how to spend this tax return. Which is going into a beater or the lude I want to know if my 97 base ecu will run the car as is, or am i needed to go hondata or who knows what route. Thanks for the input!!!

Should be ok with your stock ECU, but tuning will yield more power

Depending on where you live and how they do emissions, you may want to look into a piggyback for your ECU.

I'm going to assume Blake aka 98vtec is on here somewhere so ask him. I personally wouldn't trust the stock ECU to change enough to give you any difference for the pistons and other few mods. You may run fine for awhile - you may crap out.

just my .02
