OBD 1 P28 " I searched"

After using the search bar a few times... and reading 7 full pages of useless threads to the question I have... here it is.

What all do i need to change for my almost completely stock H22A4 motor with ATTS "which i know im going to lose" to convert my P5P ECU to an OBD 1 P28. I'm going to be running HONDATA S300 "because I can get free tunes" I know I will be needing the OBD 2 to OBD 1 jumper. Will i have to change my intake or oil pump. cams, anything?

If you don't have enough time to use capital letters, then you don't have time to do a swap.

Thanks. I just read that you have to change oil pump and a few other things to obd 1 parts

Re: OBD 1 P28 " I searched"

I believe you need an OBD I distributor, which is wired differently to the CPS.

I have been looking for the same info for a while also... but there doesn't seem to be one specific list of things needed, everybody seems to have different opinions.

Re: OBD 1 P28 " I searched"

If you want to make any changes to the timing of the exhaust cam you'll have to switch the distributor over to OBD1.

Re: OBD 1 P28 " I searched"

ya....you just need to put in the convert harness and p28.
if you had put a jdm motor in or want to change ignition timing like 1badbb6 said....then you would install an obd1 distributor and rewire the sensors for tdc and ckp.

but your fine. hondata s300 can change timing anyways soooo your good.
