Wibble wobble sound when releasing clutch

So just recently i have noticed that when i release my clutch i hear a almost squeaking sound. I haven't noticed any difference in the way the clutch acts or performs. As the title says it almost is a "wibble wibble wobble" sound, i duno that is the best way to describe it. maybe a loose pulley? I got no clue please help me out guys. Im putting the car in the shop on Tuesday for my 200k timing belt maintenance and i have told my mechanic the symptoms. He told me it almost sound like the release bearing, which he said involves dropping the tranny. Anyone please tell me this COULD be something different. I took out a damn 401k loan to do the timing belt and i cant get another for anything else until this one is paid off. Please tell me suggestion's to tell my mechanic.

I don't know about your issue. But I am curious on how much this guy is charging you if you have to take a loan out from your 401k..Sounds like he is almost charging a arm and o leg.

I've had what you're describing for about a year now. Hasnt effected my clutch performance so far. The techs at my local honda dealer said that it sounded like the pressure plate. Honestly it pisses me off, and only does it at certain times. I've never really cared enough to drop the tranny, and since I'll be getting a new clutch soonish anyways, I haven't really worried about it. If its the same thing as mine (which I can't promise it is) then it shouldnt be an immediate worry of yours. However, if you do decide to drop the tranny, lemme know what you find out.

about a grand for water pump, timing belt, auto tensioner, balancer shaft belt, balancer shaft belt tensioner, crank seal, cam seals, balancer shaft seal, valve lash adjustment, valve cover gasket, all new serpentine belts. Im sure im foregetting something i just woke up. I didnt have to take the loan out but it was about the easiest way to do it at the moment.

Re: Wibble wobble sound when releasing clutch

sounds like a throw out bearing to me (clutch release bearing). Depending on how bad it really is, it may be ok for a while. But if and I'm saying IF thats what it is, eventually that bearing will loose so much of its surface where it contacts the input shaft of your tranny to the point where it may start to bind, and if it gets that bad then you'll start having problems with your clutch, engaging and disengaging.

Re: Wibble wobble sound when releasing clutch

spray some belt dressing on your accessory belts...... I bet thats it..., it was for me

look for leaky power steering fluid around the belt pullys
