Tan Interior - Only available in the Green Preludes?

I am supposed to go look at a 98 hunter green 5 sp Prelude this weekend, and the posting says the interior is tan. I didn't think you could get anything but black interiors on 97-01 Preludes. I thought the only difference was leather or cloth.

I always liked tan interiors. Which models / years of Preludes had the tan interior in the US? Only green models? I know that some of the green ones had black interior, because in 1999 or 2000, I was in a Honda dealer in New Jersey and the Prelude on the showroom floor was a hunter green Prelude with black cloth interior.

I am trying to find a Prelude with tan interior if I can, and by the way is it tan leather or cloth or were both available?

Also can you use 97-01 Accord seats in a 97-01 Prelude? The seat rails look identical.

Re: Tan Interior - Only available in the Green Preludes?

Well my lude is a 98 and its white...but its got tan leather interior and im 99% sure that it didn't come that way because I haven't heard of another white one having tan interior but I know they're prelude seats because they're identical to the other black leather ones ive seen...only tan. Lol so I dont know which color combos went with what but it makes sense I guess that the green would be the one to come with tan, def goes better with it than white does lol. As far as tan cloth I dunno.

Re: Tan Interior - Only available in the Green Preludes?

tan only came in the green ludes in the US. cloth and leather both. In other countries it was available with other exterior colors.

your white lude did not come with tan interior, someone swapped it out, and it looks great.

If it's a BB6 it is actually a Eucalyptus Green Pearl Prelude! I have one, and yes the interior is tan!

Re: Tan Interior - Only available in the Green Preludes?

BB6s came in both EGP and Fiscus Green Pearl. Tan interior was an option I believe, as I've seen local cars with both. Though here in Aust we also got the tan option with the maroon colour (refer sig pic), as fitted to my car.

Never knew they came in FGP, good info though. You don't see too many green ludes.

there was no gray cloth, that's just a faded black interior my friend.

the 97-98 had amber inlays in the cloth, the 99-01 had greyish inlays. that is the only difference in the black cloth interiors.

usdm oem interior: tan cloth, tan leather, black cloth with amber inlays (97-98), black cloth with grey inlays (99-01), black leather.

I won't get into listing the jdm and edm interiors as I don't have an hour to sit here to think and list them out

Re: Tan Interior - Only available in the Green Preludes?

ficus green preludes came 99-01 and interiors are all black, but eucalyptus green preludes came in 97-98 and was the only car to come in tan

So in other words if you want tan interior you would have to get a 97-98 green prelude or you can get a black one and swap it out
