Help

My oil pressure light went on my 5th gen lude. Had an oil change lately; checked the dipstick and its ok. What it seem the problem?

Either a faulty light, or just what it says: low oil pressure. Could be a small leak that hasn't shown up in oil level yet -- check the oil filter and the oil filter mount to make sure there's no leaks. Ditto your cam and balancer shaft seals. Worst case is a dying oil pump, but you'd probably hear that, since it's driven off one of the balancer shafts.

How many miles are on it? Is the oil light remaining on or is it blinking? Or is it maybe like a short flicker? Do you have a check engine light as well?

i think i have the same problem.. is it safe to drive the car until i change the oil pressure switch?
