help plz

just bought a 97 lude its not running bought it like this i am a machanic. how is what i have found so for tell me what you think if i am on the right track. ok the car had injector pulse and press. but no fire using our program idenifix wich we use at the shop i work at i found someone with the same prob. and i checked the yel/grn wire at the dis. for a pulsing ground witch the ecm should saply when cranking and it was not. i can pulse it to a ground manualy by tapping in to the wire and get the coil to fire. so i found the wire at the ecm and cut it and ran a new wire to the dis. to conferm i didnt have a bad wire and still no help so it says to fall back to a falty ecu. so i have bought another ecu and installed in the can no it dosent turn over at all witch i know it needs to be programmed it was just wishful thinking i guess going to take it to honda next week. just wanted to know what yall thought iam not real up on the wiring of the ludes just let me know what you think thx alot and sorry so long. very nice site btw

Re: help plz

You choice of words are confusing.

Use the piggy back method for the key to start the engine since you have a different ecu.

What made you think the injectors weren't firing?

Re: help plz

You probably did it explain it right, my mind doesn't put words/slang together well at times.

Piggy method: Get a un-coded key for the ignition, get the key that came with ecu, attach the keys together but facing different directions, insert key for ignition in to vehicle and presto it should try to start.

There's a bit in the service manual somewhere if you need more information or pictures.

Re: help plz

well i found a good downlowd for the manual so i dont need that now. so just someone with alittle more knowledge on these preludes just let me know if i am on the right track or if you have incounterd this type of thing before. no fire and it does have fuel press. and pulse. tested the yel/gren wire from ecu to dis. and have no pulsing ground while cranking so i have another ecu and am going to try and take it to honda next week to get programed

Re: help plz

Make sure your wires are in the right spots. I know it sounds dumb but that has happened before.

I am having problems understanding you. Please use punctuation marks like periods and proof read your statements. Have you checked the distributor?
