Re: VIN #'s

1 VIN per car. :) For U.S./Canadian cars, and most European cars, it'll be a 17-character code, reading something like "JHMBB615*WC000001" -- that breaks down to "Passenger vehicle built by Honda Motor Company, Prelude/H22A4, 2-door coupe w/ 5-speed manual transmission, Type SH," a random check digit, "model year 1998, built in the Saitama factory," and the construction number. That string should be on a stamped metal tag attached to the top of the dash, just below the windshield on the driver's side corner, on a placard atttached to the driver's-side door frame, and again stamped into the upper center section of the firewall.

*Bulkhead. We're not supposed to call it a firewall anymore.

To the OP - Sorry but...stupid generic questions like this is the reason they made google. Make use of it.

Re: VIN #'s

Why call it bulkhead?

I searched Google on the terminology seems the same to me.
