i feel ya. its been quite cold in michigan here the past few days. but the knock sensor should be able to be reached by lifting the car up and going from underneath. you have a base model right?

thats a problem. i think on the sh the atts is kind of right where you need to be. for the sh you have to get at it from the top...where you run into the snag of removing your IM.

im sure it is possible to get it in without removing the IM, but its going to be a big PITA.

Re: can someone please help me with my ks!

if you haven't got it yet and have small hands you can do it from under the hood. You squeeze your hand just below the intake there right beside the coil. If you use a deep well socket and a 3/8 ratchet you can do it that way. Here's what you do.

Get your 15/16 socket put it on the 3/8's ratchet and get it in there. Once you get it on the knock sensor it's very important that it stays on the knock sensor completely. You don't want to risk breaking it.

Use a straight screw driver from the top to apply pressure to the back of the ratchet to hold it tight against the motor and tighten it. For getting it started you got to get your hand in there and just do it.

I'm 5'9" and weight 150 pounds. If your about my build you'll have to kinda force your hand in there but once you get past the first part it gets bigger so it will be tight around the wrist but you'll still be able to move the fingers to put the sensor in.

by the way. I just did this last night...

But for you I know it will suck since your in the cold but that's the only way your going to do it without pulling the atts or the intake. But I'd think the intake would be easier.
