head gasket???

Hey whats up guys I need some help. I believe I blew my head gasket but I'm not completely sure every time I accelerate White smoke comes out the exhaust. I checked under the oil cap and i saw a milky/lotion looking stuff but just a little. I dont know if this help but before all that I had an engine misfire because of the water from melted snow got into cylinder #1 spark plug, but i already got that fixed and now this. I have a 1997 type sh with a h22a jdm motor. I was wondering would a h22a4 head gasket fit on my h22, and if not where can i get an h22a head gasket, and about how much would the labor cost.

Re: head gasket???

Blown head gaskets usually aren't subtle about announcing themselves -- it's not a little white smoke under throttle (that's probably oil), but a nasty smelling cloud all the time. The oil cap doesn't tell you much -- look at what's in the radiator and on the dipstick.

Re: head gasket???

Drain the oil and check it. Don't run the engine if there is obvious contaminants in the oil.

I am interested in the smell that is coming out of your tail pipe, can you describe it?

Re: head gasket???

go have a leak down test done at a shop. replace if needed. use a honda head gasket, and stop reving the crap out of your engine.
