nitrous

my friend is puttin an h22 in his civic, and he was wondering what you guys and gals think would be a safe shot to run on stock internals. he is definately goin to run a wet shot, some people say a 50 and some say 75. he is not one of those people that will abuse it. i have no experience with nitrous. what do you all think??

As long as he pulls timing he will be fine on a 75 shot. He will need to pull 3 degrees of timing on a 75 shot on pump gas.

If done right an engine can run forever on nitrous. Just don't cut corners, it'll be the most expensive money you ever saved.

the motor is currently getting rebuilt with new waterpump, timing belt, full gasket kit, and cleaned. he will be running a tuned skunk 2 p28. so on the 2 step colder plugs, he was plannin on running the denso iridium would that be good to run just 2 steps colder like you said or should he go with a different plug?

I would not run Iridium plugs. I would run NGK v-power only. We have tried Iridium plugs on the dyno and lost 7 + whp.

The hp depends on what name brand kit and what else is done to the car.

Dont forget a window switch and a air/fuel cut off. The best way to pull timing is with a msd box unless he has hondata.
