I Need Help Badly Video Inside

Hello all preludezone peeps,

I'm having serious problems with my lude here. I have a 99 base prelude. I just drained the oil today and put brand new oil in. It was doing this before I did the oil change, so i figured I would do the change anyway, see if it helped at all. I made a video of what it does. It does that and it also will just shut off when i come to a stop, idles very bad, and I would rather fix it myself than take it to a repair shop, as im 17 and have to save my money, I can buy parts just don't want to pay for labor when i can do it myself, so any and all help is appreciated.

Had the same problem yesterday...
Lose your Idle controle valve... Go to your local autoshop and buy some trothle body cleaner... very cheap...
Then spray this in your trothle body on the butterfly
then open your trothle body and spray in it for like 30 sec...
then while your idle controle valve is losen... spray in the holes that are located in your intake manifold where the idle controle valve is located and also spray the idle controle valve where you see 2 holes next to each other
also check if the plug that is located on your idle control valve is plugged in...
after these steps put back the idle controle valve on...
ow yes for spraying the trothle body cleaner into ya intake manifold you have to remove the air filter pipe leading to it...
remember the trothle body cleaner you buy must be for fuel injection vehicles...
when you did all of that it's time to start up the vehicle
dont put back the filter yet...
sit in the car
and put ya foot to the pedal
full in... that start turning the car on... it wil not turn on right away... but keep kranking it with full gas till it starts...
when it's on keep reving it to 3500 rpm... more is not needed...
Hopefully after these steps your problem will be solved

I actually did this too yesterday and there was alot of buildup inside the intake. I took the throttle body off and sprayed all of it pretty good. Its seemed to work well. Good advice!

I can't tell what's going wrong in the video, lol. Looks like after you rev the engine, it drops to 500 rpm and raises to 700 where it's supposed to be.

Yeah, I just rode in my car for a bit and its seems that the idle is still a little shaky sometimes. Maybe it just ran smooth to fool me for a bit.
BUT:
I have seen a bypass for the idle air control valve somewhere on the 'net and the person has a walkthrough for it too. This might work better. I dunno.

personally, when i did this mod to my car, the idle was absolutely perfect before i did it, and afterwards, fluctuated from about 300rpms to 2000. needless to say, i quickly changed it back to stock!!

I just had my timing belt changed and valves adjusted today. I would say that helped a bit, too. Plus it seems to run smoother now more than ever.
