TDC sensor... need help

so my CEL came on and i diagnosed it and it came back as 8 blinks which is the Top Dead Center sensor. what exactly does this mean and what is the problem? I have already reset the CEL by pulling the radio fuse but it came back on a day later. any ideas?
thanks :)

I have the same code too and I think it's causing a misfire at times. Still wondering if anyone would have an idea of what could cause this.

Well I don't seem to have any engine symptoms of this. Should there be something noticeably wrong if there is something wrong with this sensor? Every once in a while it cranks a few more times than usual but it always starts. The check engine light just came on one day. That was at least a month ago now I think. What should be done?

Re: TDC sensor... need help

check to see why the check engine light is on, probably not you CKP sensor.

you could have a weak battery, or a weak starter, it can be other things too, like the weather and so forth.

Re: TDC sensor... need help

ok so sorry i haven't gotten back to that last one before now... i wanted to wait until today cause i took it to the dealership today and they did a diagnostic for me. their results came out as the CEL saying that the EGR ports need cleaning. the ABS light is saying that the right rear wheel speed sensor is out to lunch. the port cleaning is a 260 dollar job and the sensor is a 300 dollar job. why is the speed sensor job so expensive? and what do you have to say about the EGR port cleaning? they reset the engine light but it came back on a little while later as i was driving so i think i will check it again in the morning to see again if it is the TDC. let me know what you think though. thanks
