99 Honda Prelude problems

I have a 99 Honda Prelude and every time when I press down and release the clutch, I hear some ''knocking'' noise, I am wondering if it is the wheel bearing or something else...

I have replaced ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar links, bushings and rack and pinion.

Thanks everyone!

Re: 99 Honda Prelude problems

does it only happen when you release the clutch while the car is moving?

Re: 99 Honda Prelude problems

Guys, I had the same problem you are experiencing and took my lude to my ex-honda mechanic and he could'nt figure it out so I took it to my honda dealer and they told me it is possibly the sway bar end links. So I decided to buy a set and replace it myself and now no more clunk when shifting into 1st and 2nd as well as no clunk going over bumps. Give it a shot....sway bar end links cost about $45 for the pair for fronts only and took about 1 hour to change out both sides. I truely think this is your problem.

Ooops, didn't fully read the OP as he already changed the sway bar links. Well I guess I don't know how to fix your probelm.

Re: 99 Honda Prelude problems

I'll look through some of my books and see if anything turns up. Whining I've heard before, as well as growling, not so much knocking.
