Car Audio Fanatics please Look!!!

So this morning I woke up feeling a bit creative and decided to re-cloth my rear deck so I could show my Alpine Type-R 6x9 rear speakers. I only spent $5 on the black carpet. Glue, tape, and staples (I already had). After an hour of working on it, I ended up with this. Let me know what u think. I know its not the best.

I like it but it has a little sag to it but its not that bad!
I was thinking about doing the same thing because the stock speaker grills dont fit over my 6x9s.

Re: Car Audio Fanatics please Look!!!

I am going to be straight with you, it's not good. For being your first time I can understand why so don't take it the wrong way. You've got a lot of dips and the shot where it shows both speakers looks awful. It's not smooth at all. Take it back off and redo it, the 2nd time should be even easier since you have kind of a trial and error experience already. Check out some clips on youtube like this one, it should be of some help and answer some of your questions. Once again don't take this personal, I just want your car to look great especially since you are willing to put in the work to get it there!

In his defense (bc I ran into this with mine) it may not all be his fault. These decks can get trashed. Mine was in bad shape. IO managed to fix mine except for one area that wasn't repairable. Good thing about my fabric is it hides the imperfection in the deck. Heres mine. U can see onthe right side where my deck is messed up. been like that since I bought the car. And all the tape/staples are hidden by the seats (just havent put those back in yet haha. Waitin to dye them). But other then that I stretched the hell out of it and got it to all be smooth. I think it looks pretty good. Eventually I'll take those stock grills off too but I need some after market ones first lol.
