Icon5 Driver's Door Issues

I've been searching all of Google this morning, came across one specific thread on H-T that may be the answer I need, but "the fix" is about $85 and i'd rather be sure before I spend it.

So here's my problem:
No power to driver's door. (well, almost no power)

Window switch - Doesn't work for either window
Mirror switch - Doesn't work
Lock/Unlock switch - Doesn't work
Courtesy light - WORKS
Passenger window via passenger switch - WORKS
lock/unlock both doors via remote - WORKS

When this problem first arose, there was a day of driving that everything worked or didn't work randomly. For example: I left a drive-thru and my window got stuck about 2" from rolling up all the way and I wasn't able to roll it up until I got back home.

The diagnosis from H-T said it is the "Driver Multiplex Control Unit", which is around $85 and is a lot of fun to pull out (it's behind the driver's fuse box)

I know for a fact it isn't a loose connector. I've taken the door panel off several times just hoping i'd overlooked it, without luck.

Thanks for any/all replies guys!

Re: Driver's Door Issues

i'm assuming you've physically checked the solder joints, wires, and connections on the driver side switch panel itself, SO

you might be able to find it at a local junkyard for cheap?
or fix it yourself
or get the $85 one that you speak of.
