My lude is randomly loosing power

I have a 99 lude base 5spd and recently it looses power after ten minutes of driving then I have to let it rest for another 5 for it to run another ten...it just happened one day coming from work and now it happens all the time, im not sure wT it could be and would appreciate any ideas what it could be or wat I could check. Thanks

Damn that sucks.. that happened to be once tho on my 4th gen.. my Water pump went bad, not only did i loose power my car started overheatin all the time..
u can check ya throttle to start.. cleanin out the throttle cud help, maybe the throttle cable.. motor or tranny mounts, lose electrical connection somewhere, air filter is clogged up bad, big leak in ya exhaust. (my boy had alot of holes in his exhaust, he had an integra, he cud floor the pedal and his car will still move slow az heck lol)

second that. Clogged, heating up, then causing loss in power. Cools down, fllows better until heated again. Right on the money

Re: My lude is randomly loosing power

There are multiple things that can cause your car to lose its power like that!!! In my case awhile back it was due to the grounding wire coming from the tranny to the batt.

It was barely holding a few strands of wiring left and it would cause my car to dim n at times stall and shut.

Try to get all your grounding wires checked out!!!

That's true, but I would hope he would have mentioned some of those other obvious symptoms like dimming or elecrical components shutting off. The fact that it has a pretty consistent cycle of 5 minutes or so in which it can drive again to me just sounds like its affected by built up heat/pressure.

We definitely need more info to help better though.
