V2 foglights install help please

So I got some v2 fogs and I'm having trouble figuring out how to install the harness. They didn't come with instructions at all.

Has anyone installed these? I found a diy but it's missing pics and just confused me lol

If anyone has installed these I'll rep for your help lol

I plan on putting 3k h.I.d.s into them also

Re: V2 foglights install help please

The blue and red wires plug in like so (this is the driver's side):

The green wire plugs into your new fog light button (it's the bottom green wire in the pic):

The interior wiring harness should have a negative, I used this spot:

The white/red wire (with the FUSE) plugs into the blue/red wire. The blue/red wire is part of the exterior wiring harness included (all of this is on the driver's side still):

Run the blue/red wire behind the stereo area and out by the ECU area:

Continued:

Out through the hole and into the engine. I removed my sub, and the sub wire went through this hole. If there's no hole, drill one big enough for the blue/red wire to fit through:

The blue/red wire should reach the intake, where it will plug into the rest of the exterior harness (the harness with the two negatives and more plugs, for the fog lights themselves):

No idea. I had my bumper off, and thought I'd post the final result:

I'm removing these fog lights. I'm getting JDM yellow projectors fogs. So, that's why there's no pics of the other part of the exterior/engine harness. I had 35W 3000K H3 HIDs too. They work fine.

No problem. It took me and my two buddies two hours to figure this out; thought i'd save you some time. Especially sense i'm in the process of removing them anyway.

Re: V2 foglights install help please

Nevermind.. I can only plug them into the ones pictured.. The rest are being used..

I also had to cut the plastic on the fuse box.. There was a strip blocking me from the ones I needed.. I haven't seen anyone else with that piece?

Re: V2 foglights install help please

I got everything hooked up right!! The lights work! I gotta actually mount the fogs in now... I had to make the holes in the foglight bracket a little bigger..

I couldn't find a spot to get the wire through the firewall since the holes are already full of wires..

I went through the plug on the passenger fender since I'm missing my inner fender piece.. Which I HAVE to get now.. I've been putting it off to long lol. It will go over the wires and protect them from road debris

Thanks guys..I'll post pics when I get the fogs in tonight or in the morning..and then when I get some h.i.d.s in thurr

How do you wire it with the V2 harness and not the other one? Same process?

Re: V2 foglights install help please

Well guys I gotta problem....

I had the lights working and now they don't work! I think it's the relay. The switch doesn't light up anymore and I don't here that click I'd hear before the fogs would come on..

Where the hell do I get a replacement relay at? I found one for $30 WTF?

Is there any way to wire it up without the fuse.

Re: V2 foglights install help please

Yea, it sounds like you've got a bad relay...Contact whoever you bought your lights from, and ask for a replacement. Relays are like LEDs, they're made by the thousands. He might even send you it for free.

Anyway, I made a guide; so if anyone needs to do this still: EXT: 5th Gen V2 Replica Fog Light Install

Well the light on the fog light switch comes on but the lights still don't turn on.. Would the little green light on the switch turn on with a bad relay?

I glad you made a diy.. Just make sure the pic don't disappear lol

Re: V2 foglights install help please

You could check your negatives...See if the bulbs died prematurely (lol, major premature), or try swapping in a new fuse (the white/red wire has one).

Re: V2 foglights install help please

The fuse looks good.

It's either the relay or switch? I'm contacting the seller and I guess getting new ones.

I just want the light bulbs to last until I get hids.. But they did work so hopefully they still do..

I'm gonna re-check everything tomorrow..

They look purdy though

^ There's some mint legit fogs for sale on eBay right now. OEM, brand new, and includes everything.

I was tempted to pick them up, seeing as some places charge like, $300 for JUST the lights.

No point in getting genuine as from I remember hearing. The lens is glass and considering fogs are the lowest light piece of the car, glass seems like it'll crack in no time. Just get V2 as they are 55watt ann HID safe.

Glass lights never fog up though. And they're more durable than one would think...I thought glass headlights were stupid, but after seeing how long my buddy's Silvia headlights lasted; I was amazed.

Re: V2 foglights install help please

The v2's are some baddass kind of plastic.. Very good quality IMO and I normally hate eBay stuff

Anyways.. I'm emailing the sender to see if they can send me a new relay and switch..because the fog light indicator works but the lights don't ( I got them to turn on yesterday..but I didn't do anything so I'm guessing the relay or switch is bad

Re: V2 foglights install help please

Is this like a very tidies process...? Meaning could someone with a little wiring experience do it? Because i would have to get them and have to send it to someone to get them installed...
