Head Unit Questions.

I ordered myself a nice Alpine headunit the other night, that suits all of my needs a future plans. I've done the stereo in my other car, so i'm pretty familiar with how things go. I ordered it from Crutchfield, because it comes with the indash kit and connector for free. However, it says that I will need to run speaker wires from my rear speakers to the head unit, because the stock ones aren't supplied?

So anybody else whos done a head unit in there lude, whats the deal? Are speaker wires present in the stock wiring harness or no?

Awesome, that makes everything alot smoother. The indash kit came free, its not like I was going to say no. Got any pictures of your install without the indash kit? Maybe I won't use one either.

Yeah, as long as it has the adapter though, it's plug and play.

Re: Head Unit Questions.

Now were talking. Match colors, plug and play. Almost takes the fun away of figuring out which wire is which.

And yeah, this blizzard is rough. I see your in CT. I'm in mass, southwick to be exact. Right next to granby CT. We got pounded...this wind is wild.

Re: Head Unit Questions.

I'm not too sure, eventually i'd like to do a whole lot car audio wise, the current plans are two front component 6.5's either alpine type S or Infinitys, and some matching rear
6x9's.

Also, I noticed that Crutchfield [where I ordered my headunit from] now listed the CDA-105 for 179.99, and I paid 209.99. I emailed them and now they're giving me a $30 refund. +1 for Crutchfield. They will be getting more business from me again.

Re: Head Unit Questions.

yeah thats how i started out then next thing you know you have around $2500.00 in a stereo system . props to crutchfield for the refund most places would tell that was the price when you bought it and not do a refund.
