How to remove stereo?

I'm so sure it will be somewhere on here but I have searched for ages and found nothing.

How do I remove the stereo unit on my '98 lude?

Thanks in advance.

that black bezel around it, i pop it off with a knife/thin screwdriver. once you get that off. theres only 4 phillips head screws holding in the radio assembly

Re: How to remove stereo?

There certain areas around the bezel that come off easier than others. Dont force it if you dont have to. Just move around the bezel with a pry tool and the clips will pop out pretty easilly.

Flat head screw driver is your best friend, not only will it take that radio out but if you loose your keys it will start your car too Just playing

When i got my Lude, the guy before me had already broken the bezel. But always good to have a spare, if you come across one in good shape ....get it.
