Factory Fog Light Switch?

Maybe a stupid question, but where is the factory fog light switch installed in the dash on a 2000 lude with fog lights? I've been considering adding the JDM fogs. Need to know where the switch goes so I can build my parts list.
Thanks.

Re: Factory Fog Light Switch?

You have to remove one of the old switches and replace it with the JDM fog light switch. I just read a thread about someone else doing this the other day and I can't remember where I was reading it. If I remember I will post a link.

719: Its not quite that simple, but IIRC there is a tutorial on how to do such a thing. Not sure if it'll work with the replica harnesses though. I'll try to find it for ya.

Edit: INT: 5th gen -Wire JDM Foglights with USDM Fog switch

Cuz I'm an og like that

You have a couple of options. You could get a usdm switch plate and install, or you could remove one button (dimmer is the popular ditch choice). ORR you could do like my boy mdtdnb did and mount the switch in the little slot under the three switches fairly easily. Just figure out which way you want it, how much money you might feel like spending/ how much creative effort you want to put in. With a small amount of creativity and fab work you can do just about anything you want. The plastic of that switch plate isnt hard to cut through, just keep all of the holes out of plain sight and just about whatever you can think of can be done cleanly and cost effectively. Have fun with it, thats what modding a car is all about to me. Plus a healthy amount of go fast time XD
