lowering with oem lip kit

Im getting a lip kit and wanting to know what's a safe drop rate to allow enough clearance with the lip kit but still notice its dropped?

I'm scrapping speeding bumps with mine and its getting annoying and it doesn't even have a front lip!...previous owner cut springs to lower it.

Re: lowering with oem lip kit

you should find the previous owner and slap him in the dick.

other than that, as long as you have a lip kit and suspension, you just have to be careful...
i couldnt give you the detail of how many " to drop your car because idk how you drive.
just BE CAREFUL and youll be good. speed bumps are a mother ****er, avoid them at all cost.

Re: lowering with oem lip kit

You can get Ground Controls that will work with most struts and they come with springs brand new for $339.00. That would solve your problem.

Re: lowering with oem lip kit

I heard the Funtion and Form coilovers for the 5th gen are decently good. I'd suggest a sport drop so probably 1.5/1.8, and with coilovers you'll be able to mess around with it to your liking.

The 92-01 is what it's supposed to read. Yes they work for the 5th gen.

The recommended set-up is the GC/Koni yellows.

But that doesn't mean you have to go that route, you can use others struts as well.
