Locked the Trunk!

Hi everyone! Im a new member and im glad to find people that appreciate Preludes as much as I do. Well my issue is a rather minor i think. About 2 months ago i locked my trunk with the key from the inside, u know the lock next to the drivers seat so now i cant open it with the knob. I have to turn my car off and open the trunk with the key. But my problem is that i tried unlocking it from the inside and I cant! now i have to get off turn my car off and manually open the darn trunk. Any ideas of what might be happening? Thanks in advance.

I would bet that you got something like a rock or something in that cylinder down on the floor. It's #31 in the pic. of the parts catalog.

Get a phillips head screw driver and a flathead screw driver and take the cover off inside the car. There is a little latch in there. My car was like that when I bought it and I accidently locked my ONLY key in the trunk. You may just have to bend the latch if you want but I just used a zip tie and held the lock back.
