cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

Opinions, with or without spoiler. Put together with paint

Not asking for opinions on the tail lights, I understand they are a big no no for most of you.

No spoiler, just looks weird to me having a CF trunk with a spoiler that isn't CF as well.

Separated instead of together on paint. maybe that will help with clarity, not sure.

Re: cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

that liscense plate is something we as americans take for granted every single day. I did that as a prior service soldier to remind myself as well as others how we should be thankful for and appreciate our freedom every single day.

As far as spoiler no spoiler, its a tough call, good case for both sides

I think it looks better with the spoiler, but it would look super sick if you ended up getting a carbon fiber spoiler as well.

Re: cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

Never even seen a prelude with an oem spoiler on a carbon fiber trunk before

I don't know what to think about it.. It looks kinda weird to me but I guess that's because I've never seen it before.. Lol

If you keep the spoiler I would just keep it the stock color.

Re: cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

The fact that's I had never seen one on a lude with a cf trunk intrigued me. I had my oem spoiler laying around and decided to masking tape it on there to see what it would look like. I know its easy to leave it off and the car will look clean. Just wanted some other perspectives. I like the color contrast from the spoiler to the trunk to the bumper.

Either way I would be using 3m super strong industrial strength double sided tape so I could remove it if I do decide to install it. I think from the side the lude looks best without spoiler, but from the back especially with my car it looks best with the spoiler and cf trunk.

Most people as well as myself checking my car outside my work will see it from the rear and sparsely from the side.

Re: cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

Would you want to regret for the rest of your life knowing you drilled holes into a cf trunk for a spoiler? It's not like piercing ears where it'll heal the hole after awhile. Those holes stay for life!!!

There is an alternative though. If you really want a spoiler, do what mugen did. A hole free, drill free mounted spoiler using a clamping tool.

Re: cf trunk with or without oem spoiler

Per the original post, not looking for opinions on the lights, I get it. They are a no no, and I respect your opinions. I would be using 3m industrial strength double sided tape to mount it. I would never drill holes in cf.

I am liking it without the spoiler as well. Looks like the majority wins. Thanks guys.

Me personally, I only like 5g ludes spoiler-less if they are completely slammed, otherwise I prefer them with a wing.
