Re: wierd noise :(

Aren't you one of the people that was making fun of some guy who was asking how much hp gain he would get with certain mods? Said something to the effect of adding stickers?

And here you are, "omg my car is making a 'wierd' noise when I turn the wheels! What could it possibly be?!"

Maybe I'm riding you a bit too hard, but I would ease up on others until you have the right to poke fun at them.

Anyyyywaaaaayyyyy. What kind of noise is it? A squeal? Chirp? growling? You have to be specific when describing noises, seeing as we cannot hear what you can.

I'm guessing squeal. And I'm guessing power steering is the problem. Specifically, not sure.

Re: wierd noise :(

It's just your power steering and your engine compensating at idle. Mine does it too. I don't believe it's a problem at all, but don't quote me

EDIT: Weird is an irregular word where, "I before E, except after C" does not apply.

No problem, like I said I may have interpreted it as being more harsh than you meant it. Misunderstandings happen over any textual format easily, as you cannot see facial expressions or hear emphasis.

Anyway, fill your P/S resevoir to where its supposed to be, using Honda genuine P/S fluid. (Yes, it needs to be from honda, or it will cause damage to the system) Then bleed your P/S by running the car at idle and turning the wheels lock to lock several times, then recheck and add more fluid if necessary.

If it is low and has bubbles in it, I would suspect a leak, first and foremost.

Go over your entire P/S system, and check all the hoses, the pump, the whole system: for leaks.

What is it with you Honda guys and your hatred of power steering?

In the 240 world, nobody had power steering because their racks pissed out fluid faster than they could refill it lol... you also have the "tokyo drift" crowd wanting to be "JdM tYtE yO!"

I like Preludes, not Hondas in general.

Re: wierd noise :(

I got rid of power steering on my last car, and I'll probably be getting rid of it when I do my swap in my new car. Why? Not because I want my car to be mad tyte jdm yO, just because I don't feel a need for it. It gives you a better feel for the road, and it allows your motor to run more efficiently. Oh, and it MIGHT be because I'm a little lazy and it's easier to just get rid of all the PS equipment than it is to transfer it from car to car.

I'd do it in a heartbeat, but I have an SH and none of my research into the subject shows whether or not it has an adverse affect on SH's, specifically because of ATTS. It is only slightly interrelated, the only thing I can see thats similar between P/S and ATTS is that they share the VSS. I don't know how the computer or ATTS unit is gonna handle it though.

Although my ATTS doesn't work anyway so....
