just got skunk 2 intake manifold

just purchased a skunk 2 manifold for my h22, will i notice a little difference in performance? and is there any tuning required after installation over the stock manifold or just the swap alone is enough?

One last question, my prelude runs fine but past few days my weather temps been dropping (canada, EH lol) and i have noticed that when i turn my ignition key in my prelude 97 sh there is NO cranking at all, all the dash lights will come on and my head lights work too, but no cranking i gotta play with it for few secs till it turns on....any suggestions?

ya you will to get a tune of a sort. although i waited awhile on mine. just gotta deal with when the egr trys to turn once in awhile. if it does come on, just turn on and off ur car really quick and it will go away. but otherwise ya get it tuned for no erg and to correct ur afr's and you'll love it.

id check ur connections on the stater it self and the battery connections first, make sure they are clean and tight.
some people say the sk2 intake mani arent worth it. but personally i love mine!

If there is a difference wouldn't it be advantage Skunk2-more airflow? I have been searching around trying to figure out which way I want to go myself and I'm still not sure. Combo-ed up with the right throttle body is also just as important and port matching. Just curious to hear your opinion ogsmakdade since you already have the SK2.

Re: just got skunk 2 intake manifold

The skunk2 mani is dyno proven to be better for a turbo/FI setup then an all motor setup. If ur gonna go all motor the Rosko Racing Euro R is the way to go. Ask blake (98VTEC). He's got the dyno graphs to prove it.

Re: just got skunk 2 intake manifold

I have a very serious 250whp all motor build. my Sk2 is port matched to my head and I have a sk2 68mm tb as well as the hondata intake mani gasket.

I've heard the claims and seen the charts on fairly stock motors, but I'm not sure what mine would get out of it

Re: just got skunk 2 intake manifold

Well isn't the difference in the powerbands? The skunk2 gains up top and the euro r gets you gains in the middle. Drag and dyno queens should love the skunk2 and road racers and autocrossers should love the euro r.
