Springs

Car had Tokico Blues and some no name lowering springs when I got it, the back sits a good half inch or so lower than the front..

Question:

Can I switch the springs between front and back?

I really do wish I had the money for a nice set of coilovers but college comes first and the low rider stance is botherin me

Re: Springs

I think not.

Koni for example list different part numbers for front and rear struts(F-8041-1232S/R-8041-1155S) and the King Springs catalogue lists the front spring as being part number KHFL-93 and rear as KHRL-94. Different part numbers are usually a good indication of non-interchangability.

Re: Springs

i have the same problem as you. college isnt cheap so i went the cheap way and bought megan springs just as a temporary solution. the back is actually real low for springs and i cant even fit a finger between the wheel well and tire, the front however is 2 fingers. i wouldnt do this with mine but if its bothering you that much, take out the spring and measure it with your stock springs. cut your stock springs a little bit smaller. its gonna be a bumpy ride, but if you dont like it you can always put the lowering springs back in and you will be set once you get a nice set of coilovers. like i said i wouldnt do this with mine haha just throwing out ideas i know everybody is different

Re: Springs

Not to bust bubbles...do not cut and or heat a factory set of springs..it will be the worst ride of your life. Also no you cannot change front to back the two are designed to handle different loads. If you need inexpensive I would suggest looking at the Eibach Pro Kit I believe its like 300 and rides rather well.

Re: Springs

I don't plan to cut anything, in fact since I don't think I can change them, I will just be leaving them, none of them are busted or broken, it just looks ghetto.

Even 300$ is a lot right now, but even with that I am not going to buy cheap springs or anything.

I am just going to save up and EVENTUALLY get a nice set of coilovers.

Thanks for the input.

I've got Tein springs and my front sits lower than the back.

Theres no space in the front, cant fit my finger inbetween the wheelwell, and the back I can just barely do it.
