Re: Alternator or battery?

Remove battery have autozone or kragan charge & test it. If it fails replace it, if it passes remove alternator and take back to said store for testing.

Re: Alternator or battery?

You can have an alternator tested at Autozone without taking it out if you can get your car there. Have them test both the battery and the alternator.

Re: Alternator or battery?

Yea....like they all said. Jus head to AUTO and get them to test if the batt and alt is giving out the proper charge!!!

If those 2 are fine then you might wanna start lookin into all your grounding wires!!!

Re: Alternator or battery?

or fuses, or relays, or ignition, or fuel, or starter....

First of all, don't just write "my car won't start." What are we supposed to get from that? Maybe tell us what is happening, such as:

1: I turn the key and no lights on the dash light up and when I turn it to start nothing happens.
2. I turn the key and dash lights light up but when I turn key to start nothing happens
3. I turn the key to start and it cranks over and over but doesn't fire up.

Get my meaning? It's very hard to help you when we can't physically see or hear the problem, it becomes almost impossible when you won't even give us basic information.

Help us help you. Or just whack it with a hammer til it works. It's up to you.
