p13 ecu vtec problems.

so i bought this p13 ecu, chipped with 10k rpm redline and 5k rpm vtec.when i first put it in the vtec worked great, but like after a day it stopped working .all it does is screams and goes even slower when i go over 5k rpm.i found that i need to change out the injectors to obd1 cuz the p13 obd1 ecu cant read the obd2 injectors . is that true?

Not true, the OBD2 saturated injectors will work just fine but you will need to remove the resistor box and re wire. If you are running those injectors and the resistor box you will notice a huge lack of response and hard cold starts. You could leave the resistor box in and just go with OBD1 peak and hold injectors.

5th gens dont have a resistor box right? If not you should be set as far as injectors go already. I didn't realize you were working on a 5th gen in my first post.

Re: p13 ecu vtec problems.

The saturated injectors would be fine because you don't have a resistor box. I don't know about the other stuff as I have never done it but it would make sense because the distributor you have now doesn't allow adjustment and the O2 makes sense because OBD2 uses two where OBD1 just has one.
