Icon5 '98 SH Help?

I have a 1998 Honda Prelude SH and when I tap on the gas the motor has a slight delay, I really have no clue what could be causing this, timing or something? It is hard to explain exactly what happens so I made a video of it but the video is from inside the car so it is hard to tell that there is a delay, I think if I made a video while pulling the throttle body with the hood open you would be able to see the delay more easily.

Please help, I know this wasn't super informative if you have any questions about what is happening feel free to ask, thanks.

Re: '98 SH Help?

May need new o2 sensor, I changed the plugs 1,000 miles ago, which was like a month ago lol, i do a lot of driving. I didnt change the wires though, I was just thinking I have an aftermarket intake i should probably clean out the filter, havent dont that yet, or maybe it has a slight delay because of the intake?

Re: '98 SH Help?

I just took off the intake and inside of the piping was like coated in oil :/ it seemed like it may have been coming from the little tube that connects to the intake piping (sorry i dont know any technical terms and I dont even know what it does, feel free to inform me of either) :P and the intake was pretty dirty also.

Re: '98 SH Help?

High crankcase pressure in the H22 engine. It causes oil to be forced out through the PCV & breather lines in the valve cover.

Re: '98 SH Help?

You just need to check your oil frequently, and top it off. You also can install an oil catch on both the PVC and breather lines to catch the oil before it gets sucked into the intake. In the colder months you have to check the catch cans frequently because condensation (water) will collect in them and fill them up faster.
