pretty sure it's the exact same as what you already have. hytech replica is the best for the buck.

If it's not a Hytech replica I wouldn't waste the money. Honda did a good job designing out stock headers. Unless you're wanting to go more for engine dress up than performance, if that's the case then get a Megan header or something shiny.

The Type-S manifold pipes are cylindrical, where as "normal" Ludes are oval. Apart from that there isnt much difference.

The H22a8 in Europe and the UK share the same header (as well as many other features) as the Type-S, and the H22a8 has 12hp more than the H22a5 (the other 5G engine) so I would think there is a tiny HP bonus. But if you still have the standard 2.0" exhaust, whats the point?

Re: type s headers

I dont know the width of the manifold pipes but the downpipe is 2.25" so if you have a bigger than stock exhaust you may see benefits (are you using a CAT or high flow CAT?). But at $225, its a lot of cash for not alot of gain, even if there is one.

Not to mention, those motors use a different cam setup so thats where they get most of their power.

For $225 I would not get it, you could throw an extra +$100 on there and have a hytech rep.

Re: type s headers

You also need to remember that the Type S header was used in conjunction with the higher compression engine, different cams and different intake/TB to gain the extra power over stock.

As said above, spend another couple $ and get a proper header.
