Re: bad ignition coil or dizzy?

its a 1997 and i just put a fresh jdm motor in it, but all the componets were from my old h22a4.the thing is it worked good right after i put the motor in for couple of days then i had a leak from the vavle cover and the oil got in to the spark plug #4, covered the whole spark plug.i change the wires and the spark but still wouldnt start.

Re: bad ignition coil or dizzy?

make sure you have the wires in the right order look at the crank sensor by the pulleys on the front backside of the motor when i droped my motor in it had came loose and wouldnt start. to get oil out of spark plug hole a used a syringe they use to give kids medicine and put a thin hose on it like a vacum hose do not take spark plug out n let all that oil seep into cylinder as long as most gets out its fine are you getn fire

Re: bad ignition coil or dizzy?

i replaced the icm from my spare distributor into my old one and the car started, but it spatters and the rpm;s are the 0.sounds like the ignition timing is not set right. it doesnt die but sounds like its about to die.also checked for spark all 4 cylinders have spark.
