Probally yeah, the Intergra will weigh a fair bit less than a Prelude.

Re: I have a serious issue here..prelude vs Integra

I raced a friend who had an Integra LS a few years ago. We both had intakes but I also had DC sports headers so not sure how much of a difference that made. But anyways we were pretty much door to door till 3rd gear then I started pulling away. So I dont think a stock Integra LS is really much better aside from less weight to pull around. If you were doing a vtec swap tho Im sure the Integra would be faster tho.

If you have an automatic, then i don't see why not. otherwise stock vs stock, prelude wins....esp if its an LS.

Re: I have a serious issue here..prelude vs Integra

Are u auto? Thats the only thing I can think of.

94-95 arent da's are they? Cos Ive raced a friend when he had a teggy gsr and I kept up with him in my auto lude. He barely beat me. His was a dc2(is that rite?)

Another friend of mine has a ls da teggy and Ive beat him. His was 5spd. So if theyre smoking u then something is wrong or they have more done than u know of.

?? What's the data say? Comparative 60 ft times? Trap speeds? If nothing else, swap cars and see what happens. I let one of my autocross competitors drive my car because I "knew" I should be beating him by a wider margin...learned a few things in one run, and proceeded to make it true. :)

Re: I have a serious issue here..prelude vs Integra

I've raced a Gsr it was lowered and had an intake and exhaust for all I no
We raced from a 40 roll
I dropped it into 2nd we were neck and neck
Shift to 3rd and pulled him
I have an 01sh with i/e and Msd
I think a gsr if it's not heavily Modded I's a drivers race
A type r however will spank us
And anything lower the a Gsr should b cake unless your an auto lol

I'm not too sure but wouldnt you need aftermarket cams for those camgears? and will need a fine tuning for the timing? I have a 98 SH, and i could spin my tires going to 2nd like crazy.

Re: I have a serious issue here..prelude vs Integra

Hi. I'm new but not entirely new to car scene. I'm purchasing a BA lude this monday. I do, however, drive a supercharged 98 integra GSR.

My take on your issue is the driver. I believe I've read somewhere that with a lighter flywheel, you'll have to launch with higher RPMs. With that in mind, if you're not shifting fast enough, your rpms are dropping a lot quicker too.

Unless you've tuned your car with adjustments with your cam gears, I don't see anything else that would make your car faster (or slower) than the integra you raced.

As many of the members on here have stated, an integra is a lot lighter than a prelude. I also hear the gearing on the trannys aren't the best either, which is why people do the H2B setup.

There could be many things, but because you don't entirely know what is in that integra, there isn't much to say. Unless the integra was all stock, and you were all stock, you both raced and you lost...well, then in this case, it is driver error.

If I am wrong in anything I've said, please feel free to correct me.

Re: I have a serious issue here..prelude vs Integra

I know id have a hard time with my prelude I got the type s (F22A1) motor but im switching over to a H23 motor and a H22 tranny and will be walking teggys and if you want they got this motor that you put on the inside of your intake and it says it gives you like 5 psi of forced induction I was thinking of getting it until i get my turbo its like $300 but its basically a small turbo if you think about it I just wouldnt suggest putting it on a cold air intake because if you get water on it probally would kill it look on ebay idk what to type in maybe honda supercharger and it will probally come up maybe that will help keep up with your buddys or beat them idk its all on driving also

1st off if ur running an h22 trans u better be racing from a roll or the short gearing of the b series is gonna pull u hard off the line. 2ndly (and I may be wrong so plz post links to said device) but i have NEVER heard of anything like a motor going into ur intake. Personally i'd say thats %1000000 BS. But like i said if im wrong lemme know. Post ur link. as for Hydrolocking due to CAI....unless u submerge ur air filter into water ur not gonna hydrolock ur motor. Like I've said in my 1st post....practice ur driving.

Is this what ur talking about??? Intake Super Charger

If so theres a reason it only cost $40 dude. If u wanna just throw money away lemme kno. U can always throw some in my pockets haha
