Re: 3rd brake light delete help

That might be a bit of a pain in the butt. The third brake light is wired to most of your other systems, cruise control, headlights, etc.. However, I would just remove the housing and bulb, then reroute the wires through the trunk and up into the spoiler. May require some fabrication and such. Also soldering wire extensions may be required unless the spoiler came with the factory wire hookups.

Oh, and I have no idea what I'm talking about either. Just thinking out loud.

Re: 3rd brake light delete help

It doesn't look that retarded - no more retarded than every other car on the road with a dealer fitted spoiler and eye-level brake light in the window.

The factory loom has provision for this IIRC (well it does on my car). Just remove the plug from the eye-level and plug it into the spoiler's loom. If you really want to, you can remove the window mounted light altogether by unclipping it, though then you're left with an unsightly hole in the rear deck.

Re: 3rd brake light delete help

like so

Dont over think the wiring. It's ground and 12v when brakes applied.
