'99+ ATX how much better is it?

Ive been debating about getting an auto, how much better is the 99+ , and how are they in general , I read they have some problems but i know forums are the worst of the worst.

using a 99+ Prelude isn't going to be different than getting a 97-98. All 97-01 Preludes are the same. If you plan on getting a Prelude, don't get an Automatic, cause those trannies suck and will break on you

I think what the OP wanted to know is if the 99-01 autos are better then the 97-98 ones.
Honda did make changes to the suto for 99-01, but they still failed.
