Pretty sure you just jack up your car, separate the ball joint from the knuckle, unbolt the 2 bolts holding the UCA onto the car, and install the new one in reverse order. That's how it's done on 4G's anyways.

yea, that's pretty much the same way for the 5th Gen. If you have a 14mm gear wrench, it makes the job a whole lot easier, and you won't have to take out your shock.

1. Jack up car
2. Take off wheel
3. Take out the cotter pin and undo the upper ball joint
4. May need to hit the UCA with a hammer to separate the ball joint from the UCA
5. Use a 14mm gear wrench to take out the 2 bolts(1 on each side)
6. Pull out the UCA
7. Do everything in reverse when putting the new one in

Re: How do i replace my front uca?!

i changed my control arms a few weeks back but on my rear on my 4th gen.
its pretty easy, take the struts out and then just swap out the old one for the new one lol.

if your car is as old as mine it might take a while to get the old one out haha
