Re: Fog light hook up?

Here are the instructions for installing the USDM foglights which is ALMOST the same install as the JDM ones. PM me if you need more assistance.

Re: Fog light hook up?

Me and my buddies spent 3 hours trying to figure those damn things out...We eventually got 'em hooked up right, and they work; but man, what a pain they were. Read those instructions, we didn't, and we paid dearly. Lol.

Re: Fog light hook up?

For anyone who still needs it or stumbles upon this in the future refer to this guide: EXT: 5th gen JDM Foglight Install Muuuch better.

*NOTE* If you want to follow that exactly you'll need to cut the exterior harness that came with the fogs and add a male and female connector to where you cut (respectively of course) as it was intended for that harness to be run through the firewall and through the fender. BUT if you just splice a male connector to the end that you hook your interior harness into you can plug it into the pre-run which honda did for us from the factory. THEN on the other end splice a female (iirc, you'll have to double check that) to the exterior end. Plug your exterior harness into the provided plug and the bullet connector you just spliced in into the pre-run which should be tucked up inside the bumper. BTW the pre-run is an prange wire. For everything elde refer to the guide up thar^ And by the way, this would be the preferred method. Its how I did it, and how must have done it. Mush easier than taking the fenders and all off of the car. IMO.

where are you looking? the orange wire is right by the clutch area or where the clutch would be if you have an auto. the orange wire is taped up in the drivers side area where the fog light goes there so just find both ends and thats it

Re: Fog light hook up?

well depends on which orange wire you're talking about.

If you;re talking about the factory pre-run wire....the interior end is located by the dead pedal (u have to remove the driver side kick panel...and its right there on the far side of the fuse box)........the exterior end is taped to the driver side turn signal wire....you want to remove the turn signal and it'll be 2 inches from the base of the bulb (it will be taped to the turn signal harness by a black mini tape).

If you're refering to the K2 kit.....it DOES NOT HAVE AN orange wire. You have to cut the blue/purple wire (mid-harness).....attached bullet connectors on each end respective to the factory wire and plug them in.

Re: Fog light hook up?

I have the k2 kit, works great. Look in the DIY section here and there are at least 3 separate threads on how to do this and I used all of them.

I also did this

My set ups a little more complicated because I run 3K HIDs in them, but still not too much more work.
