Motegi MR7...anyone familiar with this rim?

I just split my front right rim, thanks to a pothole. I have the 17 inch Motegi MR7 rims in gunmetal, but everywhere I have looked online discontinued it. I see them everywhere though, so I'm hoping another brand makes a very similar looking rim. If not, I guess I need to buy a new set of rims? Any help guys. I'm in bad shape until I figure this one out...

I've attached a pic of what this rim looks like. Thanks guys.

Ryan

I did some searching. This Exel BK7 looks very similar. What do you guys think? Close enough to put on my ride?

I see those MR7's going on craigslist all the time for mad cheap dude. I would just keep an eye out for one. If you opt for the similar rim, I'd say that's a pretty close match though.

Yeah, back in 2002-2004, those were THE hit rims because the were basically, the cheapest. I'd say scrap the look and move on to something new...

I agree. I was never a fan to begin with...but they were way too popular...and its an old look now.

I saw like 3 sets on craigslist in my area last week. The Konig version is more readily available.

Yeap the motegi mr7's were a really popular nice rim back in the day, you can find they dirt cheap now. and yes they do bend and crack very easily, I went through 2 sets on my mazda mx6 klze, But if you like that style i would go with the konigs mentioned above, they look almost the same and are 10 times stronger. I currently have them on my car, here is a picture so you can see what they look like.

^^those look like konig verdicts. Much different looking than the mr7s. 7 spoke vs. 6
In my opinion, MUCH nicer than ANY motegi rim especially the MR7

Yes they are verdicts, and come to think of it, yea they sort of have a different style and yes 1 spoke difference, but they in a way look a little similar to get an idea.

Ya these are much much more expensive per rim new vs the mr7's also... lol..

Re: Motegi MR7...anyone familiar with this rim?

If all else fails and you do need one of these rims, the local Sears Auto had these wheels in stock last time I was there. If you exhaust all your resources and don't want to get new rims, lemme know and I will go check and see if they still have one of them in stock in your size/offset.
