M2F4 question...

I realize that tranny is a 4th gen; but it'll be going in a 5th gen, so I figure this is the right section.

Now, what I'm about to ask may seem incredibly stupid; but I'd rather be safe than sorry. *Ahem* If I got the M2F4 rather than the Base M2Y4, would I have to get EVERY OTHER PART from a 4th gen too? Like, if I got the M2F4 would I have to get the clutch kit, flywheel, master/slave cylinder, etc, etc from a 4th gen/aftermarket 4th gen part?

I understand that this transmission has a slightly shorter 5th gear...Which means a little higher RPMs and a little less top speed. This is 100% fine with me, as I've never even gone past 110 mph; torque > speed. BUT, if I have to find all 4th gen parts for this tranny, is it worth it? Are the 4th/5th gen transmission parts about the same in terms of availability?

Thanks in advance.

Re: M2F4 question...

I belive you have to use 5th gen parts for mounting, clutchl link, etc.

Flywheel & clutch I do not know

Re: M2F4 question...

I'm actually debating on getting an M2J5 JDM 4th gen Si tranny instead. It's better for boost. But thanks for your comment. :)
