tranny flush?

im wanting to flush the gear oil in my transmission and i dont know what grade of gear oil should i use or whats a good brand i use to use purple oil 75w 90 but my trans has 167xxx so i was thinking of going a little thicker..am i thinking right or should i keep it the same? thanx

na i wanna go with something better like lucas or purple oil...im just wanting some suggestions on what grade should i use

Go around to some local GM dealers and ask them if they have any GM manual transmission fluid syncromesh with friction modified. That is what I used in my tranny and it took away my 5th gear grind. I would recommend that stuff to anyone at this point. Lol. Oh, btw my tranny has 182k miles and it just falls into gear at this point.

When I did that, I actually went to the dealership for the tranny fluid,it was a little more pricey but I don't wanna even risk messing up that tranny because replacing it is horrible

I used Lucas when i worked on my moms 87 cavalier...

With the autotragic do you guys drain, fill, and drive (15miles) four times to complete the flushing? That's what a Honda tech buddy of mine said to do, but it just doesn't seem logical that it would flush everything out.
