Help help help my turn signals don't work

Today I brought a 98 Honda prelude and the turn signals dont work but my emergency lights do work.I checked all the fuses and everything is good.I looked on the fuse cover and the owners manual and I don't see anything written about turn signal fuses..btw I checked the fuses right by the hood latch and the one under the hoods..o yea and some more info when I put the blinker on right or left nothing turns on..plz I need some help asap because I would get my licenses suspended for a year If I get another ticker

Check the relay looking thing that flashes for turn singles.

Or...use your arms like you should have learned in drivers ED and the DMV book.

Re: Help help help my turn signals don't work

if your hazards work and the turn lever doesnt then your flasher should be fine and the problem lies in the combination light switch. the 5th gen shares this switch with a 96 to 99 accord i believe. whatever model year accord has the same style marker light in the side rear bumper. if you do confirm this is the issue and are looking for one let me know. i have one extra.

Re: Help help help my turn signals don't work

Probably the flasher pot. On my F150 I had the same problem and that was it. Should be in one of your fuse panels and again on my F150 it was a circular metal pot lookin' thing.

And that could very well be it even if your hazards still work. I believe they are on seperate circuits. Safety precaution thing.

Re: Help help help my turn signals don't work

It isn't necessarily the flashed OR the combination switch. There is a black or brown box in the fuse panel under the dash that controls the blinkers...seperate from the flasher relay. I forget what it's called but I have pics I'll try to post when I'm off work with the correct name.

It's used to control the different flashing functions for when the lights are on, off, etc.

Re: Help help help my turn signals don't work

Apparently the turn signal/hazard relay is the same relay, so my bad.

There's also a turn signal switch inside your combination switch.

And there's a turn signal diode, taped to the harness.

Related fuses are Meter (cruise control) fuse 13, Hazard fuse 39, tail light fuse 10, Small light fuse 42 and Stop Horn fuse 41.

Don't forget the brake light switch is on the same circuit.

That's the best I can get off of Mitchell for now.
