I need some advice on what to do.

I have a rod knocking in my Prelude. The mechanic said it would cost about $1500 dollars to fix it but by the time he is done with it, it should be just like new. I was also thinking about just buying a JDM H22A and putting it into it. The motor in it right now has about 200000 miles on it. What do you guys think, should I let him fix it or just buy a JDM H22A.

Also where would be the best place to buy a JDM H22A. The cheapest one I could find was on ebay for $2600 with the ECU and trans.

Re: I need some advice on what to do.

plus you have to pay for the shipping

just do a total rebuild on your motor of you dont want to get a jdm one and build or have it built the way you want

Ok, right now I don't have the money for a h22a from HMO. I guess I'll just have him rebuild this one and build the h22a4.
