Another ATTS thread

Hello, my name is Seth, I run a performance shop, Auto Velocity, in Maryland. I am a Mitsu tech specializing in the 3000GT/Stealth platform.

My dad got a 2001 Type SH with ATTS a while ago. It was beat to hell and back by some kid, but after tons of hours of work and several thousand dollars, its looking great. It has a fair amount of mods, anchored by a Jackson Racing Supercharger kit.

Anyway it runs great but has always had the ATTS light on. I've been in the performance automotive field for over ten years so I'm sure I could figure it all out eventually, but its family work, which is also free work lol, so I don't really have the time.

The codes I pulled from it are 33-MAP, 43-ECU com line, and 78-ATTS ECU.
Just wondering any thoughts/experiences as to what this may point to.

Thanks

I don't know about the codes exactly but my first thought would be that because you have the supercharger you're marking too much hp/torque which is causing the atts unit to shut off, it will shut off from what I know at around about 250whp? some say its more to do with the amount of torque your making but thats just my 2c

Thats why alot of people go with lsd since you need obd II to run ATTS however its not as good as a chipped ecu for making power etc

I was not aware of that. It definitely doesn't feel like much, But I'm used to 400-500whp cars because thats what I work on/drive on a daily basis.

So another words I should just pull the bulb so the ATTS light isn't on and deal with it.

I'll be more than happy to buy that jackson racing supercharger from you and that ATTS will most likely come back on... Seriously, i would though.

On a more serious note, If its a dash light, It should have a fuse you could possibly pull out... I'm not sure. Someone correct me if im wrong.

the cluster is probably linked together, or at least several things on the same circuit, there probably isnt a dedicated fuse that would only disable that light
