What tires would you recommend?

I have a 00 Prelude Base. My current tires, which previous owner installed, are balding very badly. I'm looking for new tires. I live in Buffalo, NY where it will eventually start snowing pretty badly. What site/store and brand of tires should I buy? I only need to replace two of the tires.

What site/store would you recommend for the lowest price for these tires?

Re: What tires would you recommend?

we have a while tire review thread. look that that there's a lot of up there. I'd recommend putting snow tires on a cheap set of wheels and then some nice summer tires on a good set

What's the difference between wheels and tires? Or are they the same?

Re: What tires would you recommend?

tires are the actual rubber. wheels and rims are the same thing, the metal part

Re: What tires would you recommend?

What are you looking for in the tire.
I know a bunch of guys running the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec good summer tire.
If you are looking for nice all season I recommend the Supersports as well.

Re: What tires would you recommend?

No clue how everyone feels about these, but oh well.

I have:

Kumho Ecsta ASX

With no complaints. Sticky during the summer and pretty good traction for those snowy months. Plus they're damn cheap!

EDIT: I just read up a lot about tires and apparently these things have really good specs. a 420 treadwear rating, AA traction, and A temperatur rating. It even says for exotic sports cars, lol.

Yokohama S Drives is recently what I switched over to and a little over 1k miles and they're awesome. I hear they only last for 22-25k miles though.

Re: What tires would you recommend?

I'm getting so sick of "what tyre should I buy" threads. We have the review thread for a reason. It's not like it's even hidden, the thing is stickied for fk's sake.

Though I suppose being asked what tyres to buy every five minuites is a nice change from do I really have to run premium?
