5th Gen Transmission!!!!!

i need help. got a tranny off a 98 prelude and bought some h22 synchros for it.
my mechanic said the synchros did not fit. the synchros were bought from synchrotech!!

i called dave and he said that i could have a h23 or a f22 tranny. but i believe i have an H22 tranny and that dave and his ****en lady sales rep at synchrotech sent me the wrong part. DAVE told me that the reason there are two versions of the kit, one kit has the part # "SO-120C", and the other is "SO-120C-H22", he said that the synchro they sent me should fit H22, GSR, HYDRO, B16.

from what i believe, they sent me the wrong part and they are just bull****ting me so they will not have to pay for their mistake.

here is what i beleived i ordered!!!
Honda Prelude H22 3rd/4th Gearspeed Carbon Synchro Sleeve Set

here is what they sent me
http://www.freeimagehosting.net/imag...b38d349608.jpg
notice the part number difference on the invoice compared to the one i wanted for the H22 .

Here is what i believe they sent me from the website
SO-120C GSR ITR 3rd/4th Carbon Synchros, Springs & Sleeve - Synchrotech Transmissions Inc

when i call to place the order, i Specifically said it was for an H22 TRANNY

so now my mechanic says that the new synchro will not fit into my tranny

and the sticker label on my tranny has been ripped off so i have no idea what kind of tranny i have. dave claims that he sent me the right order and that my tranny is not H22. its either an F22 or H23.

RIGHT now i just need to figure out what tranny i have. since i have no label, the only ID that i can read on the housing is "PX5-1" which is engraved on the tranny housing.

so thats it, i tried google and everything. no help.. please if someone knows if the engrave marking PX5-1 could tell me what tranny i have.

No help from google on my end either.

You should contact the person you bought the tranny from and confirm that it was the original and was on an h22

Re: 5th Gen Transmission!!!!!

I can't see the image you uploaded on that website. But if it's not the one you ordered send it back and make them fix it. If they refuse then call your credit card company and start a dispute for your money back, then take your money somewhere else.

Re: 5th Gen Transmission!!!!!

Is there a stamp on the trans? you need that number for reference, and the part number off the part that you received.

he said, she said, doesn't help resolve the situation.

Re: 5th Gen Transmission!!!!!

thanks for the help.

here is the invoice of what they sent me
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/5...synchrotec.jpg

the part number is different from what i ordered online. but dave at synchrotech said that they should fit all b series such as gsr, itr, or si and H22

he has two versions of them listed so that people will not get confuse, they its the same part. i dont know cause im not a tranny person. i know that f22 and h23 are direct bolt on to the h22 motor. thats wat ive read and people tell me that too.

just because it bolts up, doesn't mean the internals are the same. really need to find out what trans you have.
